What are the different types of electric charger?
There are two types of chargers:
AC chargers deliver charging powers ranging from 3.7 kVA to 43 kVA and are suited to individuals or professionals wishing to charge their vehicle over a long period. These chargers can be found mainly at home, at the workplace, in parking lots of public-access buildings and on public roads.
DC chargers can deliver higher charging powers than AC chargers, from 24 kW and up to 350 kW (the maximum power currently supported by only a few vehicles), and are also more suited to individuals or professionals wishing to charge rapidly. These chargers are found in TotalEnergies service stations, in high-power charging hubs and in certain public-access buildings.
